So we decided to go up to Pikes Peak when Mom came out this past Christmas. We had so much fun. We only made it about 3/4 of the way up but it was worth it. At the restaurant / gift shop we stopped at, my Mom and the boys decided to make a snow man. It was almost to cold to even be outside but they did it! We had a blast. Sadly there was almost not enough snow to even make one LOL! but they sure tried.

It just goes to show.......
The other day, as I was getting ready to leave, my kids surprised me with their sense of humor. Abigail and Joseph were playing in the living room when one of them spotted my sunglasses. Abby put them on and JoJo started calling her MOM!! LOL! They danced around pretending to be ME!! I laughed so hard I had to sit down! I was embarrassed to see my son mimicking my mannerisms to the tea. He looked so cute. Then Abby tried, but she just looked to sweet for words !! It just goes to prove that our children learn way to much from their parents!! Guess I had better pay closer attention next time!LOL

Daniel won the Science Fair!!
Daniel shaking the judges hand.
Daniel's award winning project.
We are so proud of our son Daniel, he won the Science Fair the other night. His experiment was "Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall, could anything help ole' Humpty?" We used cotton, fabric, cardboard, animal bedding and dried leaves. He did a wonderful job and was asked to enter his project in the county regionals!! This will happen in April I think. I will keep everyone posted!
The other day a miracle occured, and I just felt the need to share with everyone my glory from the Lord! *wink* Anyway, as it would be, all of my children decided that they really didn't like each other and the day was pretty stinky. They fought and grumbled, no matter how much I tried to calm things down. So as a last resort, my husband and myself were moving a new mattress into our bedroom. We decided that we should set it down in the livingroom and lay ALL of the kids down on it. In about 15 min. a miracle occured. All 5 of them fell asleep and Abby went in her crib! For the first time in YEARS all of my children were asleep and it wasn't night time!LOL! Needless to say the rest of the day and night was calm and soooo much better. Praise the Lord!

This Dec. I decided to make a trip to Arizona to see my Grandmother. She wasn't doing very well and I was concerned that this might be the last time I might be able to see her. She was much skinnier than I had anticipated and didn't look good in general. All in all I was glad that I went. The part I am leaving out is the fact that I made the trip with one of my best friends Deanna. She flew out here from Austin TX and we drove together to Phoenix. We had a blast as this was the first time I had ever done anything like that! My only issue was that that was the farthest I have ever been away from my children. I missed them so much! The whole trip was fun and I saw lots of extended family. Praise the Lord for his small blessings and miracles!
